Full services in
Equipment manufacturing
The manufacture of industrial steel equipment is traditionally known as boilermaking, which is one of Tomsa Destil’s strengths. With special emphasis on the manufacture of equipment that is the technological heart of the process. Equipment such as Alembic Stills, Distillation Columns, Washing Columns, Molecular Sieves, Ebullitors, Evaporators and Shell and Tube Condensers, as well as other minor equipment such as Decanters, Tanks and Process Bottles, among others.
Tomsa Destil has its own workshops with wide capacity to manufacture these equipments in materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel in its different alloys, as well as copper, brass and other materials. It also uses welding methods approved by ASME, for manual and semi-automatic welding with TIG GMAW and GTAW methods. Our own procedures for welding carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and heterogeneous welding.
Tomsa Destil, has the capacity to design and manufacture equipment in compliance with European and international manufacturing standards, as well as following recognized standards such as ASME VIII or API 650, and European directives such as the “Pressure European Directive” for pressure vessels.

Process description
Manufacturing stage
Once the initial stage is completed, the equipment is mechanically defined in terms of its configuration, morphology, and construction details in order to move on to the manufacturing stage in the workshop; once the drawings have been approved and the manufacturing codes and standards and the quality control plan have been defined.
Third party manufacturing
This first stage can be developed by Tomsa Destil as part of the supply of the equipment to be manufactured or it can have been previously developed by the client or by third parties. In other words, Tomsa Destil can manufacture its equipment as well as equipment designed by others, under other standards or specifications.

Frequently asked
questions
Yes, according to the client’s needs, Tomsa Destil has the capacity to move the manufacturing of its equipment to the project site, making them In-Situ.
No, Tomsa Destil can define the design based on the desired capacity and come up with the complete solution to manufacture the equipment.
If the customer does not have any requirements in that regard, then it is just a matter of applying the industry regulations, as well as our own regulations governing pressure vessels etc. If the customer wants to add specific standards or specific regulations, they should be defined in the cost estimating process.
No, depending on what is desired or the type of product to be handled, the selection may include parts in carbon steel, or in lower quality stainless steels or higher quality alloys, combining parts in different types of stainless steel and incorporating copper or other materials as required.
